Little Gwyneth can hardly wait to start her days.  She keeps yelling, "I want to get up now!" until one of the grownups gets her out of the crib.  I wonder why we hit the snooze button instead?  Maybe that's the answer: wonder.  Gwyneth’s days are filled with it -- a leaf in the driveway; a spot of sunshine on the living room wall; Good Night Moon read until it (and maybe the grownup reading it) is falling apart.  For Gwyneth, familiar things are soaked with wonder.  And that’s what gratitude does for grownups.  It makes us like Gwyneth.  Before we know it, wonder is seeping in everywhere.

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest from of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” G. K. Chesterton

"Ah, but I was so much older then.  I'm younger than that now."   Bob Dylan
