Before you forgive somebody, he looks thin and flat and dull, but afterward he changes so much so fast that it's hard to keep up with him. His jokes get funny, and his ideas get interesting, and the sound of his voice feels like a present. It's like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly, only a whole lot better.
